Adapted from his bestseller, in this non-fiction book about the universe Neil deGrasse Tyson takes the information he presented in Astrophysics for People in a Hurry (2017) and makes it accessible to both a younger and wider audience. Some of the topics covered in the book include the origin of the universe, the big bang, how stars are formed and function, the four fundamental forces, elements, and the unsolved mysteries of dark matter and dark energy.
The topics mentioned and astrophysics in general are very difficult topics to make accessible to a wide audience because of their complexity. As such this book is a must read for anybody interested in learning about space or any of the other topics already mentioned as the book succeeds in making these notoriously difficult to comprehend topics easy to understand which is no small feat.
