For fans of thrilling fantasy stories and mythological re-tellings, Daughter of the Moon Goddess follows Xingyin as she embarks on a dangerous journey filled with violence, romance, and adventure. Xingyin has never known a “normal” childhood. Growing up on the moon with her mother, the moon goddess, she has never seen the world beyond the moon, the Celestial Kingdom. After finding out her mother was exiled years ago from the Celestial Kingdom by the Emperor, Xingyin is forced to flee her home and face a world she does not know on her own. Xingyin must never let anyone know who she is, even her closest friend, for fear of the consequences to her family. So, she must pretend to be an orphan as she works in the home of Lady Meiling, but, while there, she kindles a potentially dangerous friendship with the Prince of the Celestial Kingdom, Liwei.
Though I personally did not enjoy the writing style, but it is a beautiful story.
