Daunis Fontaine, an unenrolled tribal member, struggles to find her place among her father’s Ojibwe people, but after witnessing the murder of a friend, she becomes a confidential informant for the FBI in a case that threatens to tear her community apart.
Expertly and authentically narrated, LaBlanc brings Boulley’s characters to life. This is a great book for Indigenous teens looking for representation, but also for anyone who enjoys a good mystery with a little bit of romance.
