Current St. FX students and sisters Moira and Claire MacMillan released their most recent Album in November of 2022. It is their first collection of songs, having previously released only singles. The two sing about love, coming of age, feelings of loneliness, being unsure of themselves and coming to terms with their feelings in ways that will be familiar to teenagers anywhere. However, their music is also distinctively Nova Scotian, as they released their now infamous tune "South Shore" in the summer 2022.
They often discuss their struggles with depression and anxiety during the transition from high school to university, something that many teenagers can relate to. Perhaps this explains their popularity on Instagram and TikTok, with eleven thousand and a whopping 158 thousand followers respectively. Recommended for all ages but would particularly resonate with young adults ages 15 to 20. Their music is simple and gorgeous.
