Isn’t it frustrating that all ‘teenage’ podcasts are hosted by adults? It Came From the Second Floor is an entirely teen-led podcast – meaning that it is recorded, hosted, and edited by a rotating cohort of teenage volunteers who are based in Halifax.
Spawned out of an idea from the Teen Advisory Council, It Came From the Second Floor is recorded and produced out of the 2nd Floor Media Studio at Halifax Central Library. As a general interest podcast for young people, it covers many topics such as popular culture, local and current events, LGBTQ+ news, and newcomer perspectives. The content is based on the interests of community, so listeners left cold during one episode could be totally enthralled in the next.
