Camera Cove is a small town, where you would never suspect anything bad to ever happen, until one summer a serial killer murders four local victims. Now it is a year later, and the serial killer has not been caught; many suspect that the killer was a drifter and has moved on. When high school student Mac Bell finds a note from Connor, a close friend and final murder victim, he starts his own investigation into the Catalog Killer. Mac tries to sort through the missing pieces of the investigation. He soon finds help from Quill, who lost his cousin to the Catalog Killer. Mac and Quill start looking for clues and begin a secret relationship as well. Fans of The Ruinous Sweep (Wynne-Jones, 2018) might also enjoy Keep This to Yourself.

By far the best Young Adult murder mystery I have read in a very long time. Every chapter I felt like I may know who the Catalog Killer is, but I was wrong every time. The twist at the end was very surprising. Mac felt relatable as he searched for answers about his friend’s death.
