The Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL) does an adequate job at creating a separate online space for teens on their website. A separate icon can be selected in the lefthand toolbar on the main page, which leads users to the online space for teens.
There are no significant differences between the main webpage, and the teen webpage, so creating more designation would be an improvement. Additionally, highlighting programming, events, and volunteer opportunities on the webpage would be useful so that teens are able to see all relevant content for them at a glance. Expanding online readers advisory can also be accomplished by curating interesting booklists with catchy titles as opposed to only highlighting a long list of ‘Teen Book of the Week’.
Ultimately, there is lots of potential to create a more interactive and exciting space for teens on the library website.
