This book received several awards including the 2001 ABC Children’s Booksellers Choices Award, the 2001 Storytelling World Award, and the Anne Izard Storytellers Choice Award.
The title of the book says it all; this is a great read for young adults written at a lively pace and each story in this collection truly reflects on know what heroism actually means. However, violence is not the only solution to the conflict as described in some of the stories in this book.
