After a group of teenagers die on a roller coaster, a magic fortune telling machine gives them the chance to return to life, so long as they can decide amongst themselves who deserves a second chance at life.
The musical’s story is rather unique, though its musical styles and plot structure is reminiscent of several revue-style shows, like Cats (Webber, 1981). The musical speaks specifically to teens in small towns, though it can find a larger audience in other high school age teens and older.
As the album contains only the songs from the musical, context of the larger piece is missing. The album discusses the value of life in an entertaining and sincere way, which can be enjoyable by everyone.
