The Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries has an expansive and wonderfully elaborate website dedicated to serving all its users and community members. One aspect of the website they do particularly well is their teen-specific e-library page. Teens spend so much of their time online so having not just a section of the library or catalogue dedicated to them, but an entire e-library page is especially relevant and helpful for teens accessing the library.
This site helps teens expand their literacy and reading through various curated lists on new books, cozy fantasy and sci-fi, trending YA books, Black Voices and many more topics or genres. They not only include, but strongly feature, a large diverse array of genres, topics, authors, and subjects with special focus on teen stories and teen interests. The page is well-organized, and easy to navigate, and makes it easy to borrow the eBooks or put them on a waitlist. There’s also an easily accessible link to get support or help with using Libby or the Library, and a clear way to navigate through the page without being overly complex or overwhelming. This site is an excellent resource for teens or adults looking to find their next read, whether they know where to start or not.
