Where the Wild Things Are is about a little boy who dresses up as a monster and causes some trouble, and as a result gets grounded. When he’s sent to his room, he finds that it has turned into a whole world and he travels to the land where the wild things come from, where he becomes their leader until he decides to go home.

This book is aimed towards younger children, around five-years-old or older, who are interested in monsters (as more than just the villains of a piece) and who enjoy illustrations.

Despite the age of this book, the primary limitation I find that it has is that I would like there to be a bit more story while the boy is in the land of the wild things, instead of just images.
