This game follows Link on his latest adventure to save Hyrule from an evil entity known as Calamity Gagnon. The games open world design features cool mechanics like the ability to climb (almost) anywhere and interesting tools like the paraglider which together allow for a plethora of interesting exploration opportunities – the only downside of these mechanics/tools being the stamina meter attached to them.
The games cartoon-esque animation, straightforward design, and G-rated story content makes it appropriate for anyone over the age of 8. Some external help such as online guides may be required, however, as certain mechanics like cooking that are key to successfully completing the more difficult combat encounters within the game are not explained to the player in a way that makes it obvious how one would undertake such a task. Despite slight oversights here and there, the game overall is an excellent addition to the Zelda franchise and is a good starting point for anybody playing a Legend of Zelda game for the very first time.
