The LAPL Teen Website is an excellent resource for young adults to explore literature, blogs, events, and reviews written by teens or for teens. The website utilizes bright colours to guide teens to important sections and offers several resources, such as college and career help, homework assistance, community service opportunities, and health and wellness. The site is connected to several social media platforms, which allows for a broader audience.
In terms of promoting its own materials, LAPL provides a series of book lists, book awards, book databases, and book-related websites, enabling teens to make informed choices. The website strives to give equal promotion to all resources, making it stand out from others. It is evident that much effort went into creating this site, as opposed to other libraries that may put their YA sites on the backburner. This library seems to want to promote reading to all young adults.
