Ginny and Georgia follows fifteen-year-old Ginny Miller, her young mother Georgia, and her little brother as they move to a small town in New England for a fresh start. Moving between the present and the past in flashbacks from Georgia’s past, we discover there is more than meets the eye for the young mother and her children. Ginny navigates high school, first love, friendship, racism and mental health struggles while also facing her mother’s past as it comes back to threaten their new life.

The show, while funny and lighthearted, also deals with some serious topics like depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm, and past domestic violence. It has a very diverse cast, with Ginny being biracial and many BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ supporting characters.
