Citation: Young Authors Foundation. (2023, April). Teen ink: By teens, for teens. https://www.teenink.com/magazine
Teen Ink is a U.S. based magazine and website that offers teens the opportunity to publish their writing, art, and photos. Teens between the ages of 13-19 can submit their opinion writing and creative work to the magazine for publication. There are no writers or artists on staff—all articles and artwork in the magazine come from teen submissions. Teen Ink publishes poetry, fiction, non-fiction, art and photography, and reviews of books, movies, music, TV shows, and video games. They also provide teens with resources and reviews for summer programs and colleges (including Canadian universities and colleges, and some Canadian summer programs). Teens can also enter writing and art contests.
This is a really cool magazine that provides teens with an opportunity to develop their voice by sharing their writing and art. The articles that Teen Ink publishes tell what it is like to be a teen from a teen perspective, and include topics such as current events, teen life, self-esteem, love, family, school, etc.
